@lorrainemca said: I am in the same boat, any tips on getting through thisMy Last 4 exams F4 - 61% F6 - 48% F8 - 48% F6 - 49% F8 - 48% Its soul destroying. Im going to be looking at my exam technique and doing F7 at christmas cant take another fail in sept!!
First time pass.
I think many people underestimate the multiple choice questions. It’s the easiest way to earn 20 marks but at the same time it’s the easiest way to lose 20 marks too!!
I found the multiple choice questions really tricky and confusing so I will really advise people who are planning to sit this exam to practice multiple choice as much as possible! Do not underestimate this.
Hey!
So I used a combination of open tuition and LSBF video lectures to prepare for this exam.
The lsbf lecturer went on and on about how one of the students in his class was the really smart, who knew all the answers in class but when it came to the mock test he got 30% etc.
So he went on about the importance of structure of your answer and how you explain yourself. Each point you make is half a mark and to get full 1 mark you need to explain and expand.
I would highly recommend using a combination of opentution and LSBF materials to prepare for this exam

@pauljaco said: 45% second sitting after 48% first time. That's including 2 cbe application failures and me having to sit there like a total lemon for 30 mins before they fixed it. Hated the cbe style I'm honestly speechless though as I though I did enough to pass Hate the ACCA!i know the feeling...dont give up...i dont like the cbe either....it was difficult for me compared to pb...also the girl next to me was typing so loudly...no one said anything to her so i had to take it all through the exam...move on and just study another and revise this...you can do it..
Failed at 45% first attempt. Gutted as i was already making preparations to sit for AFM in September. Can i still progress to do it or i have to first pass F8 before i progress to the next level?
March First attempt F8 - 27%, June second attempt - 18%,....I am so not writing any more exams till December

Passed with only 51% after many attempts.Got to move on .........am grateful to my faith God bless
dont give up my first was 40 and lowest was 33
I passed with 54% and I'm extremely grateful. Glory be to God. This was my second attempt after 48%.
I have learnt consistency = success and make no excuses. Just accept failure and try again. I have failed many times and my worst regret was sulking, wanting to give up and letting time pass. When I was studying for exam, it seemed like I was re-learning everything because I let too much time pass because of my failure in the past. I motivated myself to keep going because sometimes you have to fail in order to succeed. Some people get it the first time and some don't. I'm one of those who never really gets it the first time. Just don't get discouraged or disheartened. Keep going.
It was my third attempt all self study. Passed with 51
Hi,
Was you center in Chelsea?
47% in June 2018. First time 45% (march 2018).
passed on first attempt with 62.
Hi, would you like to resit this exam in September and study together?
Failed this one 42%, but passed F5. Feels like a failure of an exam session. Strange exam, felt like the stuff was easy almost obvious( stock take, conflict of interests..). Still feel like I could crush it next week with 2 day review :)
I guess, the silver lining is that if I take the P level auditing I will be more prepared ( I know, I know - I am trying to look on the bright side:))
