June 8, 2018 at 3:02 pm #457816Hi everyone, this was my first cbe doing acca.
When i got to section C, the first question about Ted and E.V, it only gave me the option to input into an excel spreadsheet, but they were asking to discus some of the answers, i ended up writing my responses into the cells, i found this very annoying! Did i miss something?

You are supposed to calculate the Q first by working out MR=MC
And then you calculate P= a-bQhow you calculate it… ?
June 8, 2018 at 10:31 pm #457991You didn’t miss anything, that was the ask. However the tool has its limitations so you have to enlarge the cell by using wrap text (or by double-clicking the line between the row numbers). For some reason they haven’t added the Merge Cell option (within the formatting button) which would have made it easier to work with.
The Question 32 Debrief video available in the F5 Technical Articles section on the ACCA website includes some good tips on using the Spreadsheet tool.

June 9, 2018 at 12:06 am #457999I sat for the paper based exam .
For section C I got TED EV which was difficult and balanced scorecard which consumed too much time.
I found Section A and B as incredibly hard.

June 9, 2018 at 7:29 am #458052hi guys
which one knows about answers of throughput ratio and total profit in the short term? and i answerd the Q31 about EV but i have forgotten the margin (60%) in calculations but whole of my answer for this Q was correct without considering margin of CDs .
what mark i can save from this Q?June 9, 2018 at 9:33 am #458071Most of the multiple choice questions is might be easy. But in the Part B Section that about for variance, the question is quite confuse. Finally, I got the answers for this. When I read the question in Part C, getting headache.
Actually, I wish I would pass for F5 June 218 section.June 11, 2018 at 3:56 pm #458333@opentuition_team said:

(comments will open after 5pm UK)June 11, 2018 at 7:56 pm #458368Although the F5 exam was fairly okay and at the same time relatively hard. I practice many questions from Kaplan and BPP, but I did not expect those questions that cams out. The section B was not too straightforward. Despots that I practiced. many questions on throughput and mix and yield variances, those questions that came out were not friendly at all.. The EV in the section C was not too okay, I could not attempt it because I don’t know were to start from. I just hope miracle will happen.
June 12, 2018 at 9:22 am #458425I also got 395 for relevant costing and 14860
July 6, 2018 at 4:46 pm #461143I agree!! T___T
