Did you find it helped you to spend more time practicing exam questions or reading and did you study everyday and for how many hours? Sorry to interrupt your celebrations with this but I would love to have these exam results too! :)
Got 78, around where I thought actually. Maybe a few more marks higher but the exam report was interesting. On to the next one.

I think my approach is probably the same as most. I read 3 or 4 chapters of the text book doing the chapter questions as I go. As I was doing three exams this time, I would then go onto the next one and do the same, then the last. After that I'd go back to the first to make notes on the chapters I read. I found that the break in between would let me know if I understood/remembered it. If not completely clear or hadn't remembered straight away I watched the OT lectures on those chapters, noting down anything not covered in the text or, in many cases, a better way of approaching something than Kaplan's! Once I had completed all the texts I went into revision phase using the kits. I didn't look at a single exam question til I had finished the texts as I wanted to make sure I understood each one as a whole. This does help. Then, it was practice, practice, practice as others have said. I didn't go back to the texts after I started revision, just used my notes where I got stuck or forgot something. Also made sure I did all the mock exams I could get my hands on - which wasn't many unfortunately due to the new style of exam but they helped too. Time wise - I studied pretty much every day. I must admit I really did put the hours in. I know others can get there with a less but I wanted to feel like I'd done absolutely everything I could (had a really tough year last year and wanted something positive this year to make up for it). Don't know if any of that helps but that's my method anyway.

Yep, completely agree. It's always the same. I finish the text and think yes, I know that, I'm feeling good - and then I do an exam question and think 'whaaat???'. I dread to think what would happen if I went into the exam without having effectively done all those past papers (by using the kits) - I'd fall flat on my face I think!

Thanks for that. I noticed you sat f4 in June and I've recently booked a cbe exam for that next week, I will go through Kaplan exam kit today. Is there anything else you recommend for that exam, given your great score recently in f4?
I did the paper based F4 but it's essentially the same exam. Don't know whether this is advice really but my issue with F4 was multiple choice questions about things that were not mentioned in the Kaplan text book at all which I found really frustrating in the exam. Not sure whether we are supposed to read around the subject rather than just relying on text books but, given Law is a vast area as a whole, I'm not really sure how we could go about that.
Other than that, I found it was more a test of memory than anything else so make sure you have the layout of the courts straight - ie which one feeds into which etc, latin phrases crop up so know which is which, Directors duties - all that sort of stuff.
Unfortunately, with 70% being multiple choice, it really can cover the whole syllabus so I ended up just repeating certain things to myself over and over to hammer them in. Also, for Section B I found that explaining some of the areas of contract law and tort etc to a friend helped me know whether I understood and could apply them.

48%. Very frustrating to fail by such a small margin, but the last time I failed an ACCA exam I got a very good score on the resit.
32% I'm actually really gutted by this. Second attempt too, I even gave up trying to do two papers and just focused on F5 and I still managed to fail and worse than the first attempt which was 42%. Feel like such a loser going to find it hard to bounce back from this and begin again for a third attempt... Sigh

Passed F5 and F6 at the 2nd attempt (71% and 70% respectively). Really happy. Used ATC materials and thanks to professor Moffat, his lecturres really helped me.

i done same as in answer published by Acca global.... so i dont know why i failed again... please suggest me what should i done to pass f5..... as i passed f9 but cant f5 :(

Wow that is amazing. Wel done! I unfortunately failed, as I put my long answers on the question paper - silly silly mistake. I got 28 on multiple choice only.

Got 54 The MCQs saved me i guess. Thanks to Mr.Moffat for their great tutorials that helped me prepare for the exam
