Dear All
I am currently considering to sit 2 papers in June 2018. I have already completed F1 to F8 and intended to take F9 and another exam. Best would be P4 but P4 and F9 are taking place on the same day. Given the recent adjustments to the P1 to P3 modules, I am thinking on the best combination. Should I try to sit P1 and P3 and get an exemption for the newly created module or F9 with another exam from the options (e.g. P5 or P6, P7 relies on knowledge gained in P2). Hence, I would take F9 in December 2018.
What would your suggestions be?
January 26, 2018 at 8:55 am #433081Thank you for your responses so far. Given Deborah’s remarks and the progression rules, I have to take F9… What would you suggest to take in addition to this? P2 seems to be also very heavy both in terms of syllabus and time-wise. However, I would be able to claim a conversion pass for P2.
Best option papers for me would be P7 and P4. Would it be advisable to attend P7 even though it relies on some knowledge from P2? Alternatively, I could take P6 but considering that it focuses on UK Tax, I would like to rather abstain from it (I am from Switzerland). F5 would also be an opportunity but given I did not like the syllabus in F5….
January 26, 2018 at 10:02 am #433097I think you should take F9 and P2. Yes P2 is a big paper, but you have over 4 months. You can get a lot of study done in that time. None of the other combinations make sense to me.
