Hi passed my APM First attempt..58 marks
i would like to thanks opentuition for an amazing platform. Left with SBR and SBL.
i would like to thanks @Spiro for providing me with APM study material; that helped me alot.
Hi, Passed APM with 50 marks, First Attempt. Finally an Affiliate.
not sure what ACCA want me to write in exam. i have lost count of retakes i have done. i have one attempt left if i don't pass in September than i will end up having 1 more exam to pass on top of APM. everything seems slipping away.
passed 4th attempt, 62%. Up from 41% last time. The difference? Tuition. Learning how much to write per point (2 sentences), and how to pull numerous different albeit maybe similar or related points out of the scenario ... a real skill. And that verb "evaluate" - bring in pros AND cons AND a conclusion/recommendation. Gives a framework for producing ideas and points. Also brief definitions of terms or descriptions of theory for 1-2 marks (only where the terms have not already been described in the scenario) - ONLY BRIEF! But easy 1 or 2 marks so make sure to get them..
I advise anyone who failed to do tuition - I used platinum school Accountancyschool. Wherever you choose, make sure you choose a reputed and experienced tutor, who you can get answers corrected to exam standard with feedback. I self-studied almost all papers, but for APM and SBL (similar to APM) I needed tuition.
Why do you say that you will have to sit another exam after September?

Thanks a lot. I will do my best.

Failed; 45%, didn't think I did well timing got me, I need more question practice. Plenty of time until Sept, congratulations to those who passed - well done.
Failed with 46 marks, this was my third attempt, I previously got 36 in June and 38 in Dec 2019.
This is my last exam and I am not giving up, I am so close. I would just like to remind everyone who failed, to just remain positive, revise, do exam questions over and over, and expand on areas you didn't fully understand.
I was feeling positive after the exam and answered all the questions fully, but what I wrote wasn't good enough. It is all a learning experience, we need to push ourselves further.
Most exams are cancelled for June, so we have a lot of time to regroup and prepare for September.
Congrats to everyone that passed!!
By the grace of my God and Lord Jesus Christ cleared APM in first attempt with 53 marks . All praises to my God Jesus Christ.
Also I would like to thank open tution for all free resources as it was really a great help for me as I was struggling financially.
Failed 47% my second attempt. 44% on my first attempt! ? i hope i get it next time. Congratulations on everyone that passed! well done to you all, to those like me who failed, what choice do we have? don’t give up, we will pass too next time ?
What did you do differently? I failed APM, twice now. The knowledge is super easy and apply the knowledge is super easy. BUT, applying the knowledge to the scenario in this exam seems impossible for me. Any advice?
Thanks

It's funny I had a post here in January where I had decided to give up APM for ATX despite being enrolled in APM classes - well I'm happy I didn't now!! Delighted to see you got there too - it's that bit sweeter when you stick with it and persevere, well done! And best wishes for your career too, it's now we will both get lift off with these exams down!
Passed with 75% at second attempt. First attempt was 49%.
My Tips.
Open tuition notes and videos
BPP text book (I read like a story book just to know all that the subject entails)
Practice to pass (ACCA PAKISTAN) by Rilwan Maniya ( 3 diets), this is the key pls
Past question 2011 to 2019.
Above all, the favour of God.
APM for me is the simplest of all the professional exams. Just follow the tips above.
I wish everyone success in the next attempt.
see my response on page 3
I was so shocked to get a 42% mark and fail. I've retaken this exam several times and at this point I know the theory and got a good handle on the easy mistake to comment on performance itself instead of the management of performance..
I prepared with Kaplan and my final mock before the exam was marked with 80%
On the day of the exam it went better than any other ACCA exam has ever gone. My pen was on fire and I managed my time well. I did the questions consequtively, so there is no chance I missed any of them. I was smiling towards the end of the exam and walked away feeling I really smashed this one finally.
42% is miles away from 50%, but I was expecting 65-70%. I know I wrote good, even, structured answers throughout. I'm seriously wondering I they missed adding at least 10-15 points to my total. I have failed many times and have no problem accepting failure and moving on to retake. But this time it is impossible that I failed.
I'm applying for an admin review. I know they don't remark the exam, but something has gone wrong here. It will be my first time applying for an admin review. I can't even find the link on the acca website! I'm pretty sure they will dismiss me, but I will bring it to the next level review too.
Generally the lack of transparency in the ACCA marking process is really appalling! I think they risk making themselves irrelevant due to this.
The practice to pass by rizwan maniya Acca Pakistan, was it on Vimeo?

Finally - that paper took such effort to pass. Lost count of how many times had to sit it :-)). One to go - SBR.
Failed second time with 39. Last session indecember i got 49. I totally stressed out. I was sure i would receive a passing mark.
A pass is a PASS.. Well Done..
Thank you C.
