How was it?
BPR Q3
Building block Q2
Ok
Q1. Benchmarking, performance dashboard
Q2. Corporate Failure-Argenti
Q3. BPR, ERPS, Appraisal system
I had the same exam it was not bad at all hoping for a pass
It was a disaster for me.
Never really understood the first question so I ended up spending too much time on it.
Never really understood why a company would try and decrease the GP margin by trying to add stuff in cost of sales.
I never understood why there was a note about inventory write-downs but it wasn’t included in the report. Maybe my mind wasn’t there.. hoping for the best though
I didn't understand the BBM question, what did people write?
What question was this?
My exam was:
Q1) Benchmarking, performance dashboard, cloud computing
Q2) Corporate Failure-Argenti, cons of using a qualitative model to predict corporate failure
Q3) BPR, ERPS, Appraisal system, employee turnover
Exam felt fair, this is my third time sitting it and by far the nicest one yet. Really hoping for a pass!

I.e for ecommerce, Erps, BPR there were similar issues with efficiency, reliability, security etc. I didn't do justice to question 3 either which is a regret. A lot of easy marks I missed in ques 1 about the IT system issues part. Argenti a score I wrote about limited scope, subjective, historical data used but my concern I may confused this with corporate failure quantitative model
Time management is by far the hardest element of this exam - there's just not enough time to produce a thorough answer on every question! I was really brutal with myself on this sitting, being my third attempt, I allocated time to each question and stuck to it - otherwise I wouldn't have reached the end of the exam.
Got everything crossed for everyone, good luck!
What was your approach regarding the reward system for the drivers in question 2?
Ok talked about ownership, achievability ,clarity but ran out of time so was not too analytical about 85%..
Totally agree. That 15 marker on the 4 determinants threw me off.
My approach on the reward system was evaluating the customer satisfaction standard against the building block requirements for standard and rewards. I discussed about ownership, achievability, and fairness of the standard and the clarity, controllability and motivation of the reward.i am not sure if this will make sense to the Examiner!
Question 1 "what gets measured ,gets done"..i was ok with gaming, myopia and tunnel vison but not sub-optimisation..
I was ok with operational gearing and explaining what it is all about and linking it to scenario and put formula Contribution/PBIT but dont know what possed me to get the gross profit figure from appendix 1 and uses it as a denominator instead of PBIT

But for some reasons by no means I can remember the question of (rewarding system ) I don't even remember did I answer it or not . Now m afraid ?. Is it normal to forget completely about a question what I answered in the hall . Coz I don't think I left any question unanswered .strangely now I can't remember
Hi Prottoyqhan,
Don't worry - everyone who sits the exam do not get the same questions. There are different variations although I am not sure how many. I don't know why ACCA does this. I think it should be the same paper for all as when they release the answers it is not the answers to all the variations. This is not at all transparent - especially since ACCA do not provide exam feedback/will not tell you where you scored/did not score points.
I wish you all the best on your exam - I am sure you have passed :)
:)
x :)
