I think ACCA needs to relax a bit in respect to "administrative review". Students that have ever requested for administrative review in the past will tell you it's just a waste of money as I am yet to see anyone personally that had his/her score changed. Yet, for December 2019, Financial management paper, they made a mistake in the "Paris Co" question. Obviously, the system is not perfect neither is it error-proof.
If they can make a mistake in a question that they had enough time to prepare and review, yet could not see it until the exam day, How much more the marking of the exam which is partly done by humans.
Therefore, going by the above fact, I think it is only fair to give students who request for administrative review fair hearing as what they only desire is how to do better the next time by knowing where exactly they got it wrong not giving every student that asks for administrative review a generic response.

Thank God I made it successfully.God bless all the OT resource persons. Your effort is well appreciated.
May God comfort anyone who failed and all the best next time.
This is my 6th attempt I wrote AA exam and i have failed with 41%. So far, my results were-26,22,29,35,30 and now 41.
I am disappointed that I failed again and frsutrating too. However I had reasons. For one month, I was hospitalised with viral infection on my eye due to which I couldnt revise for almost a month. By the time, I have recovered, I had 20 days time to cover up everything. Thanks to Open Tuition, I have managed to make it till 41. Personally if you ask me, Dec 19 exam was a good one. Had I didn't get those viral infection, then I would be definitely in the list of pass rates.
This resources is really good one and I will be using it again for March sitting. Hoping to perform way better
Passed on my first attempt 70% I really enjoyed this paper I definitely will be taking AAA
Hi. Can you please give me tips in how did you clear AA exam/
Hi littledove,
Can you please give me tips in how did you clear AA exam?
I passed 1st attempt 63%.
I watched all the lectures and did as many questions from the revision book as poss, in the time i had and also past papers.
Hello, i attempted for F8 and solved 90% paper and very confident to get 60+ marks, but, i wondered when i saw my result. I got only 26% marks, I want to re-check my AA exam. I need your advice, should i apply for re-check or not? What do you think, Please let me know.
Thank you,
Regards,
Usman Ali
Failed...
No, you shouldn't. It would be waste of money, time and your nerve system cells. It is tough exam. They have really strange marking system. E.g. for 8 mark question, you need just 8 answers, in other diet you need 16, because they think it is easy and 1/2 mark for each point you made is given.
I made something in between: say, for 5 marks, I would do 7-8 suggestions. If you double everything, you will ran out of time and won't be able to answer 100% questions.. It worked for me, so try this approach next time.
I dont know how you get 26% with full study
Last time i go to F8 without almost no study and just work sense and get 29
You must recover all part of book (recommend Kaplan)
Try to do as much as possible MCQ in advance
Try to "copy"ACCA answer in some type of question: audit risk, internal control, substantive test
I`ve passed 100% in first time (F3)
@igrar said: Failed with 49. Anyone who has an experiance, do you think administrative review would make any difference? Please advice me.The administrative review will only give you an idea how much percentage you got in each examined area. Nothing much detailed. Not worth from my point of view. However, I was desperate twice to ask someone to review the first marking as I didn't believe that it had been correctly marked :-)
Thank you Sir Ken Garett!!!
A couple of years ago I used your lectures and I passed my Audit and Assurance exam.
Ever so grateful.
Stop looking for shortcuts, get your stuff together and prepare better for March to get over 50 marks, how does that sound? That would be my advice
