Thank you Mike! Your videos were of great help. I got 67%.
January 24, 2020 at 6:00 pm #559833Well done Darsh – onwards and upwards!
January 27, 2020 at 5:32 pm #559997Passed with 95%
couldn’t believe it when i saw the result.January 29, 2020 at 6:20 am #560124Well! That’s given everyone else a target to aim for!
I have no words other than “very well done – what a result!”
Let’s hope that you can replicate this in all your exams
February 20, 2020 at 1:22 pm #562496Hi, what was your study method please? Did you go to formal classes with a lecturer or did you study independent with online tuition help? Just about to start and not sure what study method to choose. Thanks.
February 21, 2020 at 11:55 am #562597Personally I attended 3 residential course (6 weeks, 8 weeks and 8 weeks) for my 14 exams – 4 exams followed by 2 lots of 5 exams
If you read through posts on this site there seems to be a number of students that claim success from simply relying on our material together with their own hard work
Does that help you at all?
March 6, 2020 at 1:52 pm #564561I Self-studied for months with sleepless nights and constant practice and I failed today with 47%. It is my first ACCA Exam F4.
Any advice?March 6, 2020 at 3:05 pm #564582Maybe try to get more sleep?
Watch the free videos at least one (more) time, read the free course notes (once each week (2 hours start to finish)), then back in to practicing questions from the revision kit
Don’t, I repeat ‘Do not’ push yourself into a situation of sleepless nights
Work in the evening, sure. But give your mind and body ample opportunity to close down before you go to bed
I don’t remember you ever having posted any questions on the Ask ACCA Tutor forum where you have come across something that you didn’t understand … and, clearly there are areas that you didn’t fully understand
Try following the above advice but, this time, when you hit a brick wall in your understanding, post your question
Post on the Ask ACCA Tutor forum – that way I shall certainly see it and I shall reply
OK?
March 6, 2020 at 5:07 pm #564636Thank you very much Mike. I have made notes from all ur lectures in my book. Sometimes writing word for word which helps me remember.
I will follow these and try again. Please what time period will you recommend I do the resit please?March 6, 2020 at 9:08 pm #564699Leslie, you’re very welcome
Are you under time pressure from work? Or peer pressure? Do you have much in the way of ‘outside’distractions? Sport? Ancient relatives that need frequent / constant care and attention? Girl friends / boy friends making demands on your time? Young children demanding your attention?
If your life is pretty much free from this type of distraction, and given that you went into that exam with the fond expectation of passing, it seems to me that you are a mere 2 questions from nailing it at this second attempt
You scored 47% in your first attempt? That’s a question of two more correct / two fewer incorrect answers and you’ve passed
It’s not really any different than the Brexit referendum except that the 52 / 48 split was not reversible according to Trump’s puppet whereas your mastery of law has the opportunity to demonstrate previously undreamt of depths of understanding
Post again when you hit a problem … but post in only one of the forums!
OK?
March 6, 2020 at 9:59 pm #564709SIR Mike this is actually my first ACCA F4 exam I have sat. Yes I have family and a daughter. Sports is never my thing. Only 2 questions to pass OMG. Thanks very much. Any idea in when to sit again? Do I wait a while or resit ASAP
March 7, 2020 at 8:36 am #564747Only you can answer that! Why not try this … in any 2 hour session of your choice, see what percentage you can score in any (and all!) specimen exam (s) that you can get you hands on
When you have, say, 3 consecutive scores in excess of, say, 65% then that’s probably the time to be thinking seriously about a further attempt at the real thing
Between making that decision (and entering for the exam) and the date of your next attempt, keep going with your 2 hour regime
And keep posting your questions on the Ask ACCA Tutor forum!
OK?
March 15, 2020 at 11:50 am #565277Passed this exam yesterday. Only spent around a week (this is bad, please do spend more time on it) to revise + Mike’s video + did questions online.
Thank you Mike x
March 15, 2020 at 3:33 pm #565285Well! What can I say? Very well done / don’t leave yourself only a week for future exams!
That’s reassuring to know that the lectures are useful!
All the very best in your future studies … but, seriously, don’t leave yourself with just one week for preparation
OK?

Onwards and upwards
April 21, 2020 at 10:21 am #568869Amazing!
April 22, 2020 at 6:02 am #568920This is either a comment about Muwawu’s exam success or a comment about the lectures and OpenTuition generally
I’m going to believe it’s not about Muwawu’s performance so thank you for your endorsement
🙂

June 1, 2020 at 8:37 am #572475Very many congratulations Anil
Now replicate that across the rest of the exams!
June 1, 2020 at 9:29 am #572481Thank you Mike! Your videos and your help in answering my inquiries were great help. I got 75%.
June 1, 2020 at 1:17 pm #572507Excellent result Thuy, well done

🙂
June 4, 2020 at 5:37 am #572820Hello Mike. Hope all good at your side.
Reading comments from students in this forum gives me tremendous encouragement for self study. I’m resuming my studies, after some years. I now have family, two children. But I think with this lockdown, I have time to put effort.
I shall rely solely on your notes and lectures. Any advice, Mike?
Regards,
June 4, 2020 at 5:04 pm #572869If you’re locked down with your two children, why not let them join you in studying for ACCA?
It’s never too early to start!
Advice? Read the posts on this thread and then practice, practice, practice from a revision kit
And, when you hit a problem that you can’t resolve, post again on the Ask ACCA Tutor page
OK?
June 26, 2020 at 4:25 pm #574748I took the LW Remote exam from home. I did pass but felt I probably should have passed with a lot more confidence.
It was a lot more challenging than expected, nothing like the mocks and covered a small section of syllabus. Ive spoken to a large group who felt the same. I don’t know if thats because it was the remote exam - AuthorPosts
