What is the difference between indicator and measure?
Can I say ” Measures should be focused on strategic objectives of maximising shareholder wealth”?
or say “key performance indicator should be …”?
A measure and a KPI are really the same thing. Perhaps KPI implies a very important measure.
The reals difference is between objectives and measures/KPIs. An objective could be customer satisfaction, but this then has to be measured otherwise there will be no way of knowing whether the objective has been reached
And not all measures are KPI.
There may be lot`s of measures and but only few of them will be key measures, i.e. KPI.
Thanks!
