    hello sir , thank you for the lectures they are very helpful

    regarding the statement what gets measured gets done.. here is it saying that you have to continuously measure your performance or senior management should continuously measure performance to get the work done as by measuring performing you remain focused and try to achieve a set performance level.

    OR

    is it referring to the fact that if rewards are linked to performance as a way of performance measurement so employees will try to focus on areas only for which they are being rewarded for? and try to get it done?

    It is more the second. If you know you are going to be appraised on some aspect of performance you will try harder there than elsewhere.
