My other question are in the followings: could we consiider the maximum production capacity of Pottery is 1800 units (800+1000)? It says the painting division sells to outside customer at 50$ each by incurring variable costs. the variable cost of Painting division is 15$ (15000/1000) and if we deduct 15$ from 50 external selling price it amounts to 35$ each but the transfer price is 30$? what is the rest 5$ here considered? could we consider 15$ is the variable cost for both divisions?
