Topic 4 Sources of Information explanation

You need to consider the reliability, validity and lack of bias of the sources that you use. This means looking for reputable sources [quality journals and newspapers that pride themselves on their high standard of journalism], countering company sources with more independent information [to deal with potential bias] and ensuring that information presented does not contain 'sweeping statements' but is backed up by references from reliable sources [rather than anonymous articles and blogs]. You need to recognise that a degree is about researching and thinking for yourself and you cannot expect to find answers presented on a plate for you simply to serve yourself - you have to work thinks out for yourself by doing adequate research, assembling the evidence and drawing concusions yourself from what you find.
