Sir, I am giving the exam on 23. And I focused a lot on question involves calculations. Though I know the concept of every chapter and I am currently revising the chapters thoroughly.
The Study got a lot of theory inside it and I wanted to know is the Opentution notes theory are enough. I watched almost all the lectures from the site and can't watch all again to recall the important things and examples you told. That's why I am asking is the notes theory enough without referring to the lectures again. I read the earlier post by someone who told he did passed because of excessive theoretical question in the exam. I was worried about that. I am little Bit nervous !
Ask the Tutor ACCA MA
Theory of MA
There are likely to be many theory questions in the exam to test that you are understanding the topics and not just learning rules.
The notes and lectures go together and so the notes by themselves are not enough.
I assume that you have a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA approved publishers, and so the best way of revising it to attempt every question in the Kit. Learn from the answers and refer back to the lectures (or ask in this forum) if you come across something that you are not clear about.
Thank you !
You are welcome :-)
Hello John Moffat,
What do you mean with a Revision Kit? How can I obain one for the MA exam and is it free?
Thank you.
The Revision Kit is a book full of exam-standard questions and answers for practice after you have completed your studying.
There are two ACCA approved publishers, BPP and Kaplan. (BPP call it Revision Kit, Kaplan call it Exam Kit).
They are not free - you have to pay for them. You might find them in a bookshop, but otherwise you can order direct from the publishers website. If you choose to buy direct from BPP then by clicking on the link on this page you can get a 20% discount off the purchase price.
(I do explain about the Revision Kit in the first of the free lectures for Paper MA. The lectures are a complete free course and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well.)
Hello John Moffat,
Thank you very much for the information.
You are welcome :-)
