Dear sir i got a kaplan valid up to aug 2014 it says, howeever i saw changes in the sylabus ..are these valid for the exam dec 14..i quote from syllabus
“ACCA annually reviews its qualification so that they fully meet the needs of stakeholders including employers,
students, regulatory and advisory bodies and learning providers. These syllabus changes are effective from
December 2014 and thereafter will be updated with effect from 1st September each year, from September 2015
onwards. ”
can you clarify that statement and tell me if changes are applicable for dec 14 from previous sylabus which my kaplan book currently covers?October 1, 2014 at 11:26 am #202804I don’t have a Kaplan book. However, if your says that it is valid up to August 2014 and syllabus changes are effective from 1 September, I would assume that it is not valid for December 2014.

The main change is the addition of more IS/IT. This is covered in Chapter 22 of our notes.
November 12, 2014 at 2:28 am #209228hi sir,
Since main change is the addition of more IS/IT, how about the below:
“Business change:
Explain that business change projects are initiated to address strategic alignment.
Apply the stages of the business change lifecycle.
Assess the value of the four view (POPIT – people, organisation, processes and information technology) model to the successful implementation of business change”
How different is the new ‘Business Change’ and the old ‘Process change’
And could you help to answer this: Explain that business change projects are initiated to address strategic alignment.
What does that mean?
November 12, 2014 at 8:57 am #209262Strategic alignment is covered in the notes, with an example. So is POPIT.
You can search the notes PDF by Ctrl+F (F for ‘Find’) then entering the term you are looking for.
