from the note, i can’t see the difference between these two methods, it seems they are the same, is it right?
They are certainly not the same!
Stratified sampling is quasi-random (as it says in the notes) – have decided how many we need in each group they are then chosen at random.
Quota sampling is not random at all – we just take items as they come and stop taking any more from each group as soon as we have the required number in each group.
It seems you are not watching the free lectures (because I explain this in the lecture). You should not use the notes are their own – they are lecture notes – and it is in the lectures that I explain and expand on the notes.
If you are not watching the lectures for any reason then you must buy a Study Text from one of the ACCA approved publishers and study from there.
