6y ago#1Are you sure that the question says 'plant' cost because if it does then the question does not really make sense (unless there is more wording in the question that you have not typed).

6y ago#3In that case the question does make sense. Whatever the type of costing is, it is important to compare the actual cost with the planned (budget) cost and if it is different then investigate why it is different.
