Those who have given the FA exam from home using the remote cbe feature, were scratch pads available in the exam to do calculations?
April 25, 2021 at 7:14 am #618782yes scratch pads are available , but if you need to show your workings for certain question, writing them in the scratch pad wont gain any marks.
April 25, 2021 at 8:47 am #618803There is no scratch pad available for Paper FA. However you are allowed to have 2 sheets of paper on your desk for rough workings (which you must destroy in front of the proctor at the end of the exam).
For exams from Paper FM onwards, workings are required to be shown and so the software for these exams is different.
For Paper FA, none of the questions require any workings to be submitted and there is no space to input any workings (and there are therefore no marks for the workings – only for the answers submitted).
Do make sure that you practice the CBE exams available on the ACCA website – the software used for the remote exams is exactly the same 🙂
August 3, 2021 at 5:03 am #630202good day, may I ask about the rule about 2 sheets of white paper will be applied on September’s exams? I’m going to pass FA exams and this point quite important for me as far I’m old stile student and using of computer notepad take a time and uncomfortable for me.
I checked ACCA site and video and there are “you must use digital scratchpad” unfortunately.
so I will be very appreciate of any links or other proof about sheets of paper. Many thanks in advance
