    Hi

Please can you clarify for me what the policy is for f5 on rounding up/down numbers. Sometimes it seems to be OK to round to whole numbers, sometimes two decimal places, and sometimes even 3 places.

I’m using Kaplan materials, but it doesn’t give any guidance anywhere.

    Thanks

There is no standard rule (unless of course the question specifies how many decimal places, which it sometimes does).

Otherwise usually calculate unit costs to 2 decimal places and total costs to the nearest dollar.

Do not worry too much – the marks are mainly for the workings anyway, not for the final answer.
