reserves or cash

Hi John Sometimes in corporate reconstruction questions they take reserves as balancing figure and sometimes cash as balancing figure. Is there some logic to it?

I am afraid not - it depends on what information is given and what figure is missing. (While I remember, I am on vacation from tomorrow afternoon until May 8. I will have my computer with me and will still answer questions, but it may take a little longer than usual depending on internet access).
