I have been going on holiday with my very good friend from Prague every year for more than 10 years – but it will have been 2 1/2 years by the next time we are likely to have chance to do that again.
Hi Kim, I am from Prague and most of my colleagues are in the UK 🙂 Hope the situation will be better and you soon can visit Prague again.
June 10, 2021 at 4:12 pm #624441When does the examiner start checking our centre based cbe’s
June 11, 2021 at 1:17 pm #624666@Chartac – your query has no relevance to this or any of the forums where I have seen you post the same. By all means start a new thread with an appropriate subject line but do please indicate why you are asking this.
June 11, 2021 at 1:38 pm #624670I checked in at 4;15 sharp, but there was a huge queue of 350 ahead of me. After about 45 mins when it was my turn, it recalculated and there was another 280 ahead of me!!!
and then, when I finally got in, I could see myself in the monitor, but the greeter could not. He asked me to close and reopen onvue, but now it says the check in window is closed!!!!!!I dont know what to do, Im freaking out
June 11, 2021 at 2:14 pm #624677Hi. I am planning to take AAA exam in the September session with AFM. Is it necessary to take AAA exam after SBR?
How much difference does it make and how does it help?Thank you.
June 11, 2021 at 2:50 pm #624690@vinay8384 – welcome to OT! If you use the search function https://opentuition.com/search-opentuition you may well find answers to your queries – e.g. “AAA SBR before” will take you to this one https://opentuition.com/topic/aaa-without-studying-sbr-before
If you cannot quickly find an answer by all means ask again but please start a new thread in the appropriate forum – e.g. here https://opentuition.com/forum/ask-acca-tutor-forums/ask-the-tutor-acca-advanced-audit-and-assurance-aaa-exams (rather than add to an existing thread on an unrelated topic).
June 11, 2021 at 4:18 pm #624717@riskyaccounting – I am sorry but we are not an on-demand service and I cannot respond immediately to posts and, in the case of on-the-day exam issues, I have no visibility of the systems to advise on individual cases. As you say on your other post, you have since been withdrawn from this exam. Claiming this means that you will be credited the exam fee for the next session – i.e. September 2021. Obviously the system knows that there were technical issues, but if you want to make a complaint you should contact ACCA directly https://www.accaglobal.com/vn/en/footer-toolbar/contact-us.html
I would strongly recommend though that you sleep on any complaint and draft it in as professional tone as you can muster – throwing around words like “negligence” does not help.
June 11, 2021 at 5:04 pm #624735Thanks for the response – I wasn’t expecting a swift reply, since I have been on OT for some time now and know that there’s a lead time. Obviously, I wouldn’t word a professional email the same way as my posts on here.
I’ve read on other forums that most students who’ve had issues with other exams have been given the option of rebooking it for next week. Would you happen to know more about this?
June 11, 2021 at 5:14 pm #624739Please see at the bottom of this page https://www.accaglobal.com/ca/en/help/remote.html – 2nd week exams are available only for Applied Skills.
June 12, 2021 at 9:59 am #624940Hi I’m quite paranoid with the fact that I’m not sure whether my exam was submitted. In my plan it says exam attempted. How do I know whether it has been submitted to ACCA
June 12, 2021 at 3:30 pm #625094Attempted = Submitted
June 14, 2021 at 5:26 pm #625280Sir my SBR exam got revoked on 10th of June due to some technical issues; after following the trouble shooting guide I managed to get the credit in my acca account. I understand that I cannot sit for the exam in the second week because it was a Professional level paper, however just wanted you to double confirm it. It’s true that we cannot withdraw and rebook for the same quarter in case we faced a technical issue in a P level paper, right?
Or should I straight away without wasting any time rebook for June in the ongoing second week?

June 25, 2021 at 12:27 pm #626285Dear sir, I received email from ACCA for refund of 50% exam fee for remoteJun 21 exam.I did not have any problem in preparing remote exam.Do you know Is there any student receive the same email? In the past remote exam, does it occur?
June 25, 2021 at 3:44 pm #626304Got same email
ACCA Remote Invigilation Exams – June 2021
In response to this issue, we have arranged to credit your myACCA account with 50% of your AFM exam fee that can be used towards future fees. This is an exceptional and discretionary offer which is made without prejudice and as a gesture of goodwill, reflecting our recognition of the poor experience you may have had in this session. Please allow 7-10 working days for the credit to be applied to your account.
June 25, 2021 at 6:02 pm #626328To EVERYONE reading this post – this is a statement to me/OpenTuition from ACCA:
“We have acknowledged that the RI session didn’t run to the standards we and our students expect, so we have offered a goodwill gesture of 50% of the exam fee to everyone who sat a remote exam.”
So @phuongmore – NO – this hasn’t happened in the past. A “blanket” goodwill gesture is fairer than a random cut-off whether someone was 234th in a queue or 233rd or 159th or whatever. The fact remains that many students suffered delayed starts that seem to have been much more significant at the June session than in previous sessions.
September 14, 2021 at 4:26 pm #635743Are we allowed to sit the remote exam from a different country? Say I am from Ireland, will I be able to sit the exam in India since it is remote? Or do ACCA track the IP address?
September 14, 2021 at 4:41 pm #635744@myslim – welcome to OpenTuition’s forums! Please take care to not post on “old” threads – also there is a search function where you might find related/similar questions – e.g. see here https://opentuition.com/topic/sitting-for-acca-session-exams-in-different-country
IP addresses are most definitely tracked and even if RI CBE were to be available in another country (details not yet available for December 2021), RI is organised on a regional basis and IP addresses outside the region may well be blocked (I’m speculating but this is a pretty obvious control!)
May 25, 2022 at 4:28 am #656401Hello ma’am, I wanted to ask if we are allowed to have a portable fan nearby? I may have to keep one, as there is no air-conditioner in the room I will taking my upcoming exam (in June’22).
Your advice would be very much appreciated!
May 25, 2022 at 8:16 am #656418@Noal098 – if you look at the “View our guide on how to setup your desk and room” available here https://www.accaglobal.com/an/en/student/exam-entry-and-administration/about-our-exams/remote-exams/remote-session-exams/before-you-book.html – it would suggest that you cannot have it on your desk. If you set it up on the day away from the desk top and ask the invigilator the worst that can happen is that they ask you to move it to somewhere where it is of no benefit to you – but it is not unreasonable that you should want one.
