Good afternoon,
I’m currently having some issues regarding windows 10. My windows 10 is not activated. I’ve bought a new pc and ran tests with ProctorU. Everything seemed to be fine. I’m a little worried though because despite many attempts I have failed to purchase windows 10 since it’s not available in my country.
I’ve tried taking help with the technical support team. I’m really disappointed as I can’t sit for my exams.
I just want to know if it’s possible to sit for exam without activating windows 10?
Thank you.
January 19, 2021 at 1:49 pm #607172As you’ve had same post elsewhere and not elicited a satisfactory response you could ask ACCA directly – use the contact form here:
https://forms.accaglobal.com/contact-us
And select “Examinations”However, it clearly states here that you are not authorised to use the software unless “properly activated with a genuine product key or by other authorized method”
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/how-long-can-you-use-windows-10-without-activationSo any official response to you is likely to be that it must be authorised. Note also on that page the limitations you may encounter if not licensed.
If the ProctorU tests were all fine maybe there would be no issue – but if you encountered any issues it would be entirely your responsibility.
Perhaps you could say in making enquiry of ACCA that Windows 10 Pro is out of stock due to COVID-19 rather than “not available in my country” – unless you know that to be true.
