Hi all,
I received an email today from ACCA to genuinely apologise for a processing error when they marked my CBE F7 paper (which I took over 2 sessions ago – June 2018), and confirmed that I’ve been given 10 extra marks and my total mark is now revised.
I was quite shocked when I received this, and regardless of this email I had previously achieved a pass, so fortunately didn’t have to resit. But I keep wondering what would have happened if this turned a fail into a pass and a resit had already been taken? How would they compensate for the time and money?
I’m just not sure if anyone else has experienced this because it has concerned me slightly about the marking of other CBE exams. The email stated they will take extra measures to prevent against this in future but 10 marks seems like a lot.
I don’t know if anyone else has such an outcome. The myACCA portal is currently down as well.
March 5, 2019 at 2:24 pm #507748Hi,
I also received a similar email few weeks ago regarding CBE F5 paper I took. They added me 26 points! Fortunately I managed to pass even without that, but it was very close, so I was quite nervous before the other exams.
It looks like the both write questions (the two questions for 20 points) didnt transfer properly to the marking team.
I’m also wondering about the realiability of the CBE results, but unfortunately I don’t have a chance to opt for paper exam in my country.March 13, 2019 at 8:09 pm #509277best guess would be that you would have been given a free exam sitting for the said paper
