Dear Professor Moffat,
I want to ask you that are ‘regression analysis’ and ‘time series analysis’ deleted from the syllabus or not because I have the latest textbook of F5 (FOR EXAMS UPTO JUNE 2014) from BPP and there are no topics about these in the book……..March 16, 2013 at 10:36 am #119881They are assumed knowledge from Paper F2.
There will not be full questions on them, but you are expected to know what they are.
March 28, 2013 at 9:02 pm #120922Thank you for your reply, Professor Moffat.
I have downloaded the new formulae sheet from ACCA website and found that there are no regression analysis formulae in it; I guess there is a chance of getting a theory-related question o this topic, not the numerical one…..March 29, 2013 at 4:22 pm #121068Yes – you are correct 🙂
April 8, 2013 at 2:08 pm #121915Will there be numerical questions on linear programming/iso contribution and planning with limited factors as there is no straight line equation given on the formula sheet?
Is it just linear regression and coefficient of determination they won’t be expecting you to do a numerical question on?
Many Thanks
April 9, 2013 at 8:25 am #121943There can certainly be numerical questions on linear programming – it has been asked many times in the past and they have never given equations for this on the formula sheet.
April 29, 2013 at 5:54 pm #124018Professor Moffat,
I wish to know in detail exactly what major changes have been made to Part E of the syllabus- Performance Management SYSTEMS,measurement and Control. What is the Systems part of it?
April 30, 2013 at 8:30 am #124057If you look at the syllabus on the ACCA website, the additions in this area are listed in detail at the end of the syllabus.
There are no calculations required in relation to the additions – they will be written parts of questions – and they are unlikely to be more than a small part of a question.May 7, 2013 at 2:09 am #124749i am appearing in june 2013 exam.wanted to ask whether changes in syllabus in march 2013 is applicable for june exams???plz rep soon
May 7, 2013 at 7:56 am #124765There were no changes in March – the changes were made at the end of last year and apply to the June 2013 exams.
You can see the new syllabus on the ACCA website.
The course notes are updated for the changes. - AuthorPosts
