Q1 approach techniques

Aakm98259y ago
Dear Sir, I have failed Paper P3 on several occasions and I think due to poor exam technique and poor time mgt. I got 44 in my last sitting even though I did not attempt the third Qs and missed some part Qs for the other 2. I basically attempted around 65% of the paper. I am now planning to Ans Qs1 as follows: 10 mins - skim read (Qs requirements & scenario) 35 mins - calculations & analysis 1 hr - Answering (pen to paper) Any advise please. Thanks

I think the 35 mins calculations and analysis is quite long. Remain flexible and make sure you devote enough time to writing - that's what you will be marked on. Above all, move on after 1 1/2 hours. You will almost certainly not pass if you leave out a question. As for the other questions. Reading and thinking: max 15 minutes. Again be ruthless and move on after the rime is up for each section. Good luck!
