    Hi,

Re Porter’s value chain; will we have to know how to draw it? Or is that just an example to help generate idea please?

    Thanks

We dont need to draw the chart, we only need to commend how the inbound logistic, operation, outbound logistic, service, sales and marketing value added to the case study.

The value chain is both primary and support activities.

The value chain confuses me a bit for some reason. I understand it when I look at it but when it comes to applying it to a scenario I struggle :s

I wouldn’t volunteer to use it in a scenario. Recent questions have specifically asked students to describe or analyse all or part. Really it means knowing the elements are describing how the organisation in the question handles inbound logistics and all the rest.
