Hi,
Re Porter’s value chain; will we have to know how to draw it? Or is that just an example to help generate idea please?
Thanks

We dont need to draw the chart, we only need to commend how the inbound logistic, operation, outbound logistic, service, sales and marketing value added to the case study.

December 7, 2013 at 7:37 pm #151549pgduckweed: when the examiner asks to describe value chain, what do u suggest,to explain only primary or support activities as well?
Thanks
December 7, 2013 at 8:00 pm #151557The value chain is both primary and support activities.
December 8, 2013 at 9:17 am #151600The value chain confuses me a bit for some reason. I understand it when I look at it but when it comes to applying it to a scenario I struggle :s
December 8, 2013 at 4:24 pm #151650I wouldn’t volunteer to use it in a scenario. Recent questions have specifically asked students to describe or analyse all or part. Really it means knowing the elements are describing how the organisation in the question handles inbound logistics and all the rest.
