General ACCAPER supervisor evidence

Hi Everyone, I’m currently an ACCA student and am about to apply for ACCA membership this year. I just have a question relating to PER and practical experience supervisor. My General manager is a qualified accountant ( she holds CPA Australia membership) and she has already signed off all of my PERs recently. However, when she registered for the ACCA account to sign off my PER, she had only provided her full name and CPA membership number but haven’t included any attachment to prove her CPA membership because she afraid to share her personal information publicly. I’m not sure if it is optional or compulsory for the qualified supervisor to upload their membership evidence on their account? Will ACCA be able to verify if the person is qualified given their CPA membership and full name have been provided? I tried to search for this information on ACCA website but can’t find anything, so would really appreciate if anyone knows the answer or have been in a similar situation. Thank you so much Cheers

The expectations of a PER supervisor are clear in the guide that can be downloaded here: https://www.accaglobal.com/ie/en/employer/employer-help-and-guidance/help-for-your-acca-students/practical-experience-supervisor.html It states "To sign-off performance objectives you must be a qualified accountant, recognised by law in your country and/or a member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) ...." For her to share confirmation of her qualification with ACCA is NOT to "share it publicly" - would she not provide such confirmation if she was applying for a new job? for example. You need to have a conversation with her - if she is not prepared to contact ACCA directly and provide and prove her ACCA membership, I recommend that you contact ACCA directly for advice how to proceed https://www.accaglobal.com/uk/en/footer-toolbar/contact-us.html

Hi Kim Thank you very much for your helpful advice! I think I will have a conversation with her first to see if she can provide something with at least the CPA letterhead on it. If it doesn’t work I’ll contact ACCA directly to ask them for advice about this situation She is normally really nice and supportive to us but probably a bit too cautious this time :(

I am not a supervisor myself so I don't know what information is required for the registration of a supervisor but I would have thought their licence # would suffice. ACCA's monitoring controls would then include checking names and licence #s to the relevant professional body's membership database. (I am easily found in ACCA's and ICAEW's members databases even without my membership #s.)
