I know that the examiner was an internal auditor..but damn..how many internal audit question must she ask

I completely agree! internal internal internal!!! Nearly all that have never been tested are tested this time!!!

The title of F8 should be changed to "Internal Audit and assurance"

Paper was wasy...but too lenghty:(....too many questions...like interogation of audit...:@@@@

I thnk it was some tricky today, but not too difficult.... I attempted all the questions, but no answers.... !!!!!!!!!! :>)

where is going concern?sampling?subsequent events...????

I think paper was okay but I didn't time enough revision so really not sure about this one! I think preconditions was to do with management confirming accounting standard used, disclosure of evidence and other facts etc... that's what I put anyway!

Vicious examiner. Learn all these things about Corporate Gov. n not ONE question!!!

Paper was very tricky, time management and EXCELLENT analytical skills were required there.

i totally agree with barky....it wasn't a well set paper....no ethical threats, no safeguards...sumwat all guesses went wrong

it was quite easy but time management was the case for which i got into disaster,,,, overawl hope tht v pass atleast,, examiner z in love with controls,,

Preconditions Guys!! In fact they were talking about the procedures before client acceptance!! like ethical consideration, legal (for e.e if previous auditor has been removed and new appointed in the legal way)+ independance considerations etc..only then, u can proceed and draft the engagement letter!!this is what i put!!! n u guys? plz share

A badly set exam.... that's all I can say, not covering major portion of the syllabus

Argggggg, I forgot to go wit a calculator. I had to explain question 3 with an assumed ratios. Internal audit questions were much, and to think that internal audit is one of my weakest areas in F8. sob..sob...sob. Anyway, I still hope for atleast 50%

The paper was very tiring. Had to have some apple juice near the end. Did my best. Hope Pami thinsks I am worth 50 percent.

This paper was tiring ..very tring..

to be honest i was expecting sampling, ethics and all these..but surely not what came today.

I have been able to complete the paper but but..not sure about the response though..lots of unnecessary info was given..:S

hope for 50!

that being said, for anyone that did f6 in june this year, I thought that was terrible and I got through that one so anything is possible!

Yeah!! lets hope for the best friends!! But indeed, the paper was very long, tiring and loads to write...Ratio was in this year, but we score only 5 marks for that..lol..

I'm pleased you said that Karishma.. I had the same answers.
It was an exhausting exam. I had to go to the toilet midway and I didn't appreciate the member of staff who came with me and wanted to have a general conversation about the weather lol!!!

Well, at least i managed to secure 2 marks for presentation of the report in q1.

Richieinspain :) lol..they had time for conversation too loll haha funny...Hmm well lets hope f0r a passmark...i appreciate that the case study was fair enough and quite encouraging as a first question, though i didnt attempt it first!!my only thing is the value based audit loll messed it up abit:) didnt revise this part:(
