I am finding that there are large differences in content between the 2 texts.

For my AB exam I only used the text provided by open tuition and was able to use the material and a few other minor sources to great effect. I managed a 75% in the exam which I was proud of.

I thought this time I would try to combine the BPP book with the open tuition notes. The BPP book is exteremely in depth and I feel like I am wasting alot of time studying and taking notes using it. If possible I would like to be more time efficient and not get bogged down.

Essentially my question comes down t this…. Which text should be my primary study text and which should be a point of reference?

If I should be carrying on with the BPP text as a primary source. How can I speed up progress. Does anyone have tips the AB exam was my first in years and I am well out of practice when it comes to studying?

    Many thanks everyone!

Our lecture notes are precisely that – lecture notes. They are not a Study Text.

The lecture notes are to be used with the free lectures – it is in the lectures that we explain and expand on the notes.

If you are watching the lectures then you do not really need the study text. They are a complete free course and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well.

If you are not watching the lectures for any reason then you must study from the Sturdy Text.

However you choose to study it is of course vital that you have a Revision Kit and that you attempt all the questions, because question practice is vital to passing the exam.

    Hi John,

I am absoloutely watching the lectures, they are the building blocks of each unit I study. I am relieved to hear your confidence in the open tuition material as the BPP book has had me more than confused. As you have mentioned, I do have a revision kit, but am saving it untill I have covered the material. I am sure this will prove useful in time.

I will continue with the lectures and study notes and use the BPP material as a further guide.

Thanks for your help, it has very much improved moral.

    Regards
    Ben
