Eligibility Questions

I just finished F7,8 and 9 exams, and I need to start preparations for the RAP. But I don't know where to start or what to do first? Can someone offer me any advices?

Dear Bowen, Firstly congratulations on the finishing of the exams for now. Best of luck for the results. Your starting point should be the OBU Guidelines referred to as the "Information Pack". Once you have read it thoroughly then you need to choose a topic which you are comfortable with. Then you need to consider gathering data for the topic you have chosen whilst at the same time looking for a registered OBU Mentor. Should you require any further help, I would be happy to answer. I hope you are doing well, can you guide me whether I will be eligible to submit RAP if I sit my last paper from (fundamental) on March? I got to know that one has to pass all 9 papers at least 2 months prior of submission period. Just to clear my thoughts.... Regards.

Hi @Ehsan, Please find your answer: CHANGES TO ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Students must have met all the eligibility criteria at least two months prior to the start of the submission period in which the student is seeking to submit. (In practice, this means that students who have sat the last of their F papers in the March ACCA exam session – and who subsequently pass them - will NOT be eligible to submit a RAP in the May submission period of that same year AND students who have sat the last of their F papers in the September ACCA exam session – and who subsequently pass them – will NOT be eligible to submit a RAP in the November submission period of that same year). Hi, Tommy, As per new rules issued on 15 December 2015 , you must be meeting eligibility criteria for OBU BSc Hons. 2 months prior to start of submission period. Hello I am interested to do OBU, but since I have passed f4 paper on 2015 June I will be in need of English proficiency proof. Can anyone tell me the minimum result of IELTS exam in order to be appoved for OBU? Kind Regards

Can I pass p1 exam and then submit rap research ?Or it is required to submit research after f9 and before passing p1 ? Thank you!

"The degree must be completed within 10 years of your start date onto the ACCA’s professional qualification otherwise your eligibility will be withdrawn and meet the required proof of English proficiency for the degree. Hey guys, I am currently study towards the ACCA designation. In June I take F8 and F7 and in Septmeber I am gonna take F6 and F9. However, I want to earn a degree. Therefore, I want to submit the RAP in case that I pass the upcoming papers. Would it even be possible to submit the RAP if I pass the last papers in september. kind regards

Hi Anna! I alsao read the list of English of qualification many times. I looked at the Cambridge english: Key ( also known as Key English Test) which include level A1 and A2 is acceptable. Then i submit my certificate which achieve the level A1. But this is not acceptable. I don' t known what happen. I am very confuse and i scare the list of english qualification has been changed. I realy want to sue my case. But i don't know how to sue. Can you advise to me! Thank you

Hi to all, My f9 exam is on June 2016 and i am finished with the fundamentals exams. I wanted to ask the following and please advise me. If i give P1 exam on December and lets say submit my dissertation on May 2017 is it going to have any consequences? I mean i must to do it before passing any P's exams? Thank you for your time.

I am doing ACCA skill level..can anyone tell me what is the requirements that i need to fullfill if i want to qualify for applying a bsc from OBU?? Is IELTS needed ?? I heard that 6.5 is needed in every module..is it true? Or an average point 6.5 is enough?

Hey ,i have completed my fundamentals papers now am eligible to undertake the RAP ,i want to finish Professional papers first before i do my research project but am curious to enter the OBU data base ,is it possible to register with the OBU now even if i want submit my Project Next Year ?

@fredlamwa If you have opted into OBU BSc Hons RAP program at time of registration then there is no registration required. You must meet eligibility criteria that is: Be registered with Oxford Brookes University i.e. you must opt-in to the BSc degree program before passing any of the three ACCA Fundamentals papers, F7, F8 and F9. Pass all nine fundamental papers of ACCA (or exempt from 1st 6 papers but attempt F7, F8 & F9) at least two months prior to the start of the submission period in which the student is seeking to submit. Hold a recognized English language qualification certificate and transcript (if applicable), which must be submitted to and approved by ACCA, before passing F7, F8 or F9 Complete ACCA Professional Ethics Module according to the RAP submission dates. Complete, submit and pass Oxford Brookes University Research and Analysis Project (RAP). Complete the degree within 10 years of your initial registration into ACCA’s professional qualification. Hi, I did F8 in March too. How did you get on? I think you have to have known whether you have passed all of F1-F9 before you start the RAP. Please let me know if you received the same advice as myself? Thanks

Please read below eligibility criteria which do not allow you to submit RAP in session 32: You should Pass all nine fundamental papers of ACCA (or exempt from 1st 6 papers but attempt F7, F8 & F9) at least two months prior to the start of the submission period in which the student is seeking to submit. If you are asking about value of BSc degree in the Middle East Job Market. I spent two years in Dubai. Employers are just happy to see your Graduate degree whatever you have either from Pakistan or UK. Actually you are getting BSC degree on the basis of ACCA by submitting thesis only. you are not eligible to get personal or academic reference. You should focus to achieve good average marks in ACCA ultimately it will be helpful to get higher class in BSC degree. Grade will be varied on your quality of the project. Hello I am opted to do bsc degree but currently my time is occupied by studying and working simultaneously so I was wondering if I would be able to do OBU project after I pass all my ACCA papers?

Yes you can submit and complete project after finishing your ACCA. Only limit is that it should be submitted within 10 years of joining ACCA. Regards

F4 has been removed on English language requirement from June 2014! wrote it 2015 and only have Malawi high school certificate with English as language and is a must (equivalent to O level) but Acca says no! what can i do to meet this requirement? doing ps! thanks in advance

I am eligible for Bsc degree but I have to show my IELTS as they said before passing the last three F levels,,, My question is, would it be possible to submit my IELTS after passing F7,8,9 ,,, due to my some financial problems and,,,,,,,Will the ACCA give me the option if I request them ? Thank you,
