PMNew Syllabus

AAsif5y ago
Greetings sir. I wanted to know if anything has been added or removed from the syllabus of PM for the new term 2021-2022. Also, when can we expect an update to your introductory and lecture videos for PM if any ? Awaiting your feedback, Thankyou

In future you must ask in the Ask the Tutor Forum if you want me to answer. This forum is for students to help each other :-) Nothing has been removed from the syllabus. More detailed knowledge of Big Data is required in the new syllabus. This is all explained in our new lecture notes which are already uploaded. There are no calculations involved and so a new lecture is not really needed. In addition a new section has been added to the syllabus for all exams called 'Employability and Technology Skills'. However this is not a learning section but is just stressing the importance of being able to deal with the computer based exams. There are lots of resources on this available on the ACCA website, and our updated notes explain this and give links to the most important resources. In addition I have uploaded a new Revision Lecture working through a CBE question showing how to use the software. None of the other lectures will be changed given that the syllabus for everything else remains the same.

Thankyou very much sir for the update. One person informed me regression analyses and time series analyses (moving averages) was added on the menu. I guess they made a mistake then? And sorry about posting in the wrong forum -been a long time so sort of forgot. Will keep in mind from now. :)

Knowledge of regression and time series has always been in the Paper PM syllabus as assumed knowledge from Paper MA.

Ok, so everything from MA - be it indices , time series, or anything else - whatever was taught in Ma, whether it is currently taught as a chapter in PM, or not - could reappear if they wish it to - as they are assumed knowledge? In other words, we should revise the entire MA syllabus as well, for the PM exam ?

Not everything - only the management accounting topics (so not interest, not investment appraisal, not measures or average and spread, not normal distribution). Index numbers could in theory be asked, but never have been and it is unlikely that they ever will. Everything that is likely to be examined in Paper PM is revised in my free Paper PM lectures anyway. So you do not need to revise the entire MA syllabus.
