I asked you this question in another thread (https://opentuition.com/topic/net-assets-15/) – but I could not ask you there for some reason!
I corrected myself after what you said there please let me know if i am mistaken you anywhere.
1. The definition of net assets are those assets which exceeds the total liabilities to see how many extra assets a business owned once all the liabilities are settled?
Net assets = Total assets – Total liabilities
Net assets = excess assets2. The definition of total equity is the monies that are left to be paid back to the shareholders to whom the business owed money to?
3. Although the amount of total equity and total net assets would be the same according to the accounting equation but by definition they meant two different things?
Accounting equation = Net assets equals Total equity
4. Could you please tell me the point and reasoning why the net assets are calculated in real life?

March 5, 2024 at 7:34 am #7020101 and 2: Those are the definitions, although the values of everything in the SOFP are the book values which are unlikely to be the same as the actual values.
3. Correct.
4. They are to show how the shareholders money has been invested.
