How did they calculate the added value to makonis of 359.94?
The total additional value created is $503.94 (as calculated in part (a) of the answer).
If a 30% premium is paid to Nuvola’s shareholders, then this is $144M, which leaves 503.94 – 144 = $359.94 for Makonis’s shareholders.
Ah, great, thanks. I didn’t realise they interconnected the answers. Sometimes you have to forget the previous answer and answer the question in an unrelated manner
