Sir I received the following e-mail
Hi Sourav Nair
We are aware of an issue that may have impacted your remotely invigilated exam today. Please accept our apologies for this and we are currently investigating next steps.
We will issue further instructions via email by 1pm on Wednesday 7th December 2022. Please check your emails regularly for updates.
Yours sincerely
Ian Gray
Head of Exam DeliveryWhat does it entail?..
I’m getting quite afraid sir..December 5, 2022 at 6:29 pm #673533Were you affected? It says “may have impacted” – some students had issues – this looks like a holding email going out to all in an area. So if you weren’t affected – don’t worry! And if you were affected – look out for updates!
December 5, 2022 at 6:35 pm #673539Yes sir,
I was affected a bit however I don’t wish to reschedule in contingency or mitigating circumstances.
Is it fine? Are you sure that there is nothing to worry and my results are safe?
December 5, 2022 at 8:49 pm #673555Hi,
I have received the same email, but I haven’t experienced any issues at all during the exam. During the check in, I had to wait around 40 minutes, but it all went smoothly afterwards. Maybe you had the same issue and they are referring to this “waiting” problem?
Thanks
December 6, 2022 at 5:13 am #673596Yes exactly…
Had to wait around 30 mins however the remaining exam was smooth…I don’t want acca to automatically withdraw my exam.
December 6, 2022 at 6:32 am #673606Same thing happen with me, i did not encounter much issue, only in between for few minutes, I hope they don’t withdraw the exam.
December 6, 2022 at 8:21 am #673609For the vast majority of candidates, RI “works” and they receive results on results day.
ACCA does not withdraw “exams” – it offers candidates the option to withdraw and remote for the the contingency week (subject to post-exam options eligibility criteria being met https://www.accaglobal.com/gb/en/student/exam-entry-and-administration/about-our-exams/remote-exams/remote-session-exams/post-exam-options.html).
Even though you sat remotely, you will fall into a “group” that was administered in the same way. ACCA will have received reports of technical issues from some candidates and will now be checking the extent of the problem and making sure all students affected are aware if they need to withdraw/rebook. If you completed the exam without issue, and it has been successfully submitted for the marking process, you will not be advised to withdraw/book.
Surely it is better for candidates that ACCA looks into issues now, rather than one or two are advised on results day that there is no mark for them – when it is 5 weeks too late to exercise the post-exam options.
There is no point in worrying, Ian Gray will keep you updated on the situation.

Hi,
I had an issue with checking-in and my exam didn’t take place. I wrote a post about it https://opentuition.com/topic/video-streaming-connection-error/
I also received that email and I am really hoping that they would be able to resolve that issue. It is extremely stressful.
December 6, 2022 at 9:53 am #673650@bam15 – you appear to be in the UK – the other candidates posting here are not – I have responded already on your post with advice specific to you.

Yes Sir, thank you very much for your reply.
I already took action and waiting for the replies from appropriate parties.I responded to the above post to state that I also received that email and I was impacted.
Please delete if inappropriate.
Thank you.December 6, 2022 at 10:26 am #673654Even I have encountered the same problem in my AAA exam. Although I am not from UK and I think many have encountered the same from different parts of the world.
December 6, 2022 at 10:54 am #673658@HananBasheer – “the same problem” of this initial post was a waiting problem for a group in India (which if your registration to this forum is correct would affect you – so does not mean different parts of the world were affected) – this problem did not prevent students from completing the exam. @bam15 reported a different problem which meant he/she couldn’t launch the exam.
December 6, 2022 at 2:45 pm #673675My exam was terminated from proctor without establishing communication with me.. proctor was asking to respond to chat but my chat function was not working.. later laptop call was also not connecting due to strange technical issues.. I told proctor to call my phone, don know why he could not call me.. it was before an hour I had only 20 marks to complete it was so disappointing.. the 3 hours of sitting is all waste now. no reply from acca.. looking whether to rebook or do mitigating circumstances.
