I am confused on what if ,in the case of finance lease, lease term and life of assets is different, lets say lease term =6 and life of assets =5? IAS 17 state one can use shorter of, lease term or life of assets to depreciate the assets i.e 5 years but can we use same theory to derive minimum lease payment i.e. 5 years?
