Q. First 10 units took 120 hours.
The following 30 units took 150 hours.
Which of the following would represent the above learning rate?Would you please how to solve this question with clarification?
Thank you so much Teacher Moffat.May
June 4, 2019 at 5:36 pm #518864The average time for the first batch of 10 units is 120 hours.
They then make another 30, so in total they have now made 40 units (or 4 batches of 10 units) and taken a total of 270 hours.
So the average time per batch of 10 units when they make 4 batches is 270/4 = 67.5 hours.
Going from 1 batch of 10 units to 4 batches of 10 units means doubling two times.
Therefore, if R is the learning rate:
67.5 = 120 x R^2So R = square root of 67.5/120 = 0.75 (or 75%)
