Announced today (29 April) South African Court orders the re-opening of 783 corruption charge cases against President Jacob Zuma stating that it was irrational to drop the charges

This is exactly what I mean when I keep repeatedly saying in answers to your questions “Read the news, listen to the radio, watch the World news on television”

    This is classic P1 material

    Hi Mike,

Thank you for this. As a newbie to P1, will we get questions relating to recent news events (as a case study for Q1) or are you referring to us reading recent news events, so that we are able to analyse all possible events?

    Thanks
    H

Both! In the recent past there was a question based around the Deep Water Horizon BP oil rig disaster

And another about the risks associated with nuclear power stations ( think Fukushima)

Yes, there’s no reason why your examiner should not ask a question based around some event from the last few years

And the generality of corruption cases and lying, cheating officials.

Check out the post from today in the general forum concerning the Pakistani test cricket umpire Aleem Dar

These people move amongst us 🙂
