Hi,
I have bought the premier distance learning package from Kaplan. Would you recommend following their study guide and revision guide?
Is there any tips or strategies of going through the complete text quickly and effectively?
This is my second exam, however I have not got my results from P1 yet, so I don't know whether my last studying strategy was good.
Any advice will be much appreciated.

9y ago#1I'm not familiar with their study guide and revision guide, but I can't think why you wouldn't follow these.
With P5, there are relatively few areas that are completely new (for example Economic Value Added is one) beyond F5 and P3. The questions do, of course, require technical knowledge (eg the principles behind choosing a suitable transfer price) but it is very important that you:
(a) Concentrate on the name of the paper "Advanced Performance Management" as the paper is aimed at that, not strategy.
(b) Practice lots of questions: as I said, there aren't many new technical areas, but the questions are very different.
