Repected Sir , I Am Literally Confused In Following :
1. I Got The MCQ , Where The Option Was To Select Between Market Paradox and Behavioural Finance , Other Two Are Incorrect For Sure …. Now The Thing Is That , I Read behaviour finance Once In BPP Pass Card , There Was Something Related To Phsycology. The MCQ Didnt mentioned the word Physcology , Likewise i am Damn Sure That Dont Look Like Behaviour Finance .
My Question is , Is MARKET PARADOX , In The Syllabus of ACCA F9 ???2. Is Expected NPV , The Expected Value ???
3. In Section C Theory I Got To Write The benefits Of Centralised Treasury Management … I Wrote :
– Saving Of Cash For Precautionary Purposes .
– FOREX management
– Focuses On Cash Flow Rather Than Profits .4. I got a NPV calculation without Inflation and the theory asked , the Company Was Not Using Inflation In NPV calculation Because of fear that Economy fluctuates in Future ….
– i wrote no matter what , company should use inflation and desribed how real and nominal rates differ with inflation .5 . In Sales Volume Sensitivity , I Forgot To Deduct taxation , The Question was Of 2 Marks , will I Get 1 Marks For Correct Formula ????
6. For Discount rate Sensitivity , I Calculated IRR , and Did (IRR-DR)/DR , Is This The Correct Approach ??????
Thank You .
June 13, 2018 at 8:40 am #458575I have not seen the exam and so I can’t comment in detail without having seen the whole question.
1. Market paradox is not specifically mentioned in the syllabus (but doesn’t need to be). However it is not a standard term on its own because it can relate to many things. Again I would need to have seen the question.
2. Yes.
3. What you wrote doesn’t seem to specifically relate to centralising treasury management (i.e. managing the cash for all companies in the group as opposed to managing it for each company separately)
4. That seems correct.
5. If it was an MCQ then you get either 2 marks or zero – nobody looks at your workings. If it was a small part of a Section C question then you probably would get 1 mark.
6. Yes – that is the correct approach (as in the example I work through in my free lectures).
Again, without seeing the whole of each question, it is impossible for me to be certain about everything 🙂
