any one with zland trust and Frasco cvp questions.in section C
Too much reading. I found it difficult to read the scenarios as there seemed to be too much information to take in and then navigate between to try and extract the information. Questions themselves I didn’t think were too challenging but couldn’t manage to complete within the time allowance which is frustrating because I would have been able to have had a good go at all the questions.
Yep this is what I had aswell. You find them OK?
Zland Trust I struggled to think of any financial calculations I could do tbh outside of profit margins.
Did any one find the remote exam challenging?
I did find them okay
cs ratios was 60.5% and i have included 52 weeks in Frasco hotel question. what are your thoughts?
Me i had ques 1 budgeting and ABM. Ques 2 was Performance pyramid and evaluation of indicators. And ques 3 Value for money and league table. Anyone else who had those questions? The exams was very demanding and lengthy. The scenarios were long and difficult to manage in CBE screens.
Yes!! I had the same thing!
For those that had the performance pyramid question. There was 3 parts, first was the performance pyramid, 2md was the an indicator for each of the financial, quality and productivity. What was the last part - does anyone remember?
.
Part A was tricky. C is quite straightforward
Zero based budgets in local government?
My questions
1) elit Co nfp and big data
2) Borens Co or something like that, about budgeting
3) VBM, Npv, Mirr
I missed half of question 3 and it was a nightmare. Why questions on Npv Mirr when it won't be in syllabus?
I see people had value for money and perf pyramid, league table which is what I revised for and quite confident on.
It's not fair that people can be in same room and get a different question which could be the difference
VBM statistically is the hardest topic students struggle on and a shame I got that :(
Oh wow, I noticed when I was done with Eilt company that it was spelt "Eilt" and not "Elit". I started to change all references one by one then I figured out something and was amazed, they exam has a Find and replace function with CTRL + F!!! So basically used that to change the remaining references from "Elit" to "Eilt". Time-saving but I don't think there would be any loss of marks with the wrong spelling.
Also I wanted MIRR and EVA but didn't get any. NPV and especially MIRR are examinable in the sense that you would need to make references to their suitability, pros and cons etc. Not necessarily to calculate. Apparently, at this level, you can use normal Excel functions of
=NPV(rate, cash flows) and
=MIRR(cash flows, finance rate, re-invesment rate)
So you don't need to manually calculate it or even know the steps.
I also have brand awareness loyalty.
NFPIs, big data. New IS for Q1
Q2 is VFM, league table
Q3 is PP .sadly No enough time for this. Q1 has too many questions!
In your question gross profit margin was 65%for set menu & 45%for A Carte .
What I want to ask after subtracting margin we get variable cost so we can use margin as contribution or not
Yes my weighted c/s ratio was .605555
Also sales mix was 50:50 or not it said half sales from each menu
The marks allocation was hard to make sense
PP indicators (9marks)
Big data (10marks)
Brand awareness and loyalty (About 12 marks) if im not wrong
Difficult paper to complete, way too much to read
I had the same as some others here,
budgeting + ABB Q1
Schools performance tables Q2
pyramid was Q3
Went slightly over time on Q2, length was hard for time allowed
I only had 38 mins for Q3 and it was so long and compicated so after spending 15 minutes trying to get to grips the rest was just panicking writing. Amazing how your brain seizes up trying to remember the pyramid layout when in an exam.
Really difficult for time in that exam, hopefully I passed but wouldn't be surprised to have to retake.
SBR tomorrow so back revising now.
The performance Pyramid was provided in one of the Appendices , if im not wrong

It was truly easy but time-management was poor :(. Hope I did enough though.

It was regarding bonuses. Will it be ok to change targets from only net operating profit to partly based on profit and other 2, sorry do not recall. I guess increase in online sales and increase in overall sales.
the last part was about bonus system.
Seems my questions were different from what everyone here had
Oops. I have just noticed the forum for APM exam. I had PM. :)
kiran19 wrote:the last part was about bonus system.Yes! Exactly. Number of journeys and online sales. So annoying.
3rd time resorting today & still ran out of time. Too much to read in such a short amount of time.
Q1 Elit - KPIs, NFPIs, Brand awareness and Loyalty & Big data - didn’t think This was too bad although not sure I wrote enough content for the marks
Q2 VBM & NPV & MIRR calculation. Left this till last as I was very weak at this so didn’t really get much down for this at all
Q3 incremental budgeting again didn’t think this was too bad but I thought my second attempt wasn’t too bad scores my worst ever mark so just hoping to have done enough to scrape a pass
Just recalling question part i) did anyone mention building block model as there was a clue given about determinants and results in the scenario. But nothing was asked in the question so assuming we had to spot it and use it
If it is then missed out on easy some straightforward marks :/
In my opinion I think I was only mentioned to throw students off.. I thought about BB at 1st but then i remembered it is only used for service industry which the shops wasnt.
I just talked about the NPI and it being long term focused as the objective was to provide sustainable growth
I seem to have same as most people. Section A was okay, section B on the schools 3E’s I found very difficult a thought second part not so bad on league tables answers seemed to be a lot of common sense.
Part C on pyramid again I wasn’t 100% confident but think I have explained myself enough. Rewards question was a bit strange I didn’t agree with any of the reward system proposals.
Left the exam 30 minutes early never a good sign but I seem to be a fast typer and always finish before everyone else!
