Hey sir ! I came through a question in kaplan MA2 .. ( an accountancy firm provides audit to local companies each year. What type of costing it is? Service or job .. I think it is a service costing . But in kaplan answer is job costing!)

6y ago#1It is job costing because each audit for each company will have to be costed separately (some will take longer, so less long, and so on).
Service costing is more appropriate when it is the same service for everyone. e.g. calculating the cost per hotel night for a hotel.
