    Hi,

I am Saheb from India and I do self study. Just wanted to ask whether OpenTuition’s study material that I had downloaded from this website is good enough for passing P4 exam? My worry is that the main text book by BPP is very detailed and has a lot of topics which are left untouched in OpenTuition’s text material. And I had almost fully relied on OpenTuition material until I opened the BPP text book and got shocked. Not only for P4 but also for P7 as well.
Now with just a few days left until exams, I don’t have enough time to go through the entire BPP text book all over again. Could you please clarify the approach I should take i.e. whether OpenTuition’s text material is good enough or not, and also about P7.

    Regards,

    Saheb Rishab

Our material is enough, subject to the following:

You should not use the lecture notes without watching the lectures. The notes are just that – lecture notes – and it is in the lectures that I explain and expand on the notes.

You must have a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA approved publishers, and work through every question and learn from them. Our lectures go through all the technical knowledge required, but it is vital to get used to the different ways that the exam can test it, and you can only get this from practice.

You must also watch my lectures working through several past Question 1’s. I obviously explain the calculations, but also spend time discussing the approach to the question which is just as important.

If necessary you must watch the relevant Paper F9 lectures, because a lot of P4 is revision of F9. If you come across something you have forgotten or were not clear about from F9 – then watch the relevant F9 lectures.

Any problems you have as a result of watching the lectures, or with any questions in your Revision Kit, then ask in this forum and I will help you 🙂
