Hi i am so shocked by failing my last paper at 49%. This is the first time i have failed my exam!! I was thinking i will take between 64% to 75%. During the exam i requested for additional paper as i had completed the first paper. Is there any possibility they have separated from each other? How can i prove i had second paper? I remember the instructor left a mark on first page, but that’s all! I am so confused what has happened! Please help me i feel so miserable!
January 13, 2020 at 1:21 am #558089I am getting crazy by keep asking myself whether my second booklet have been lost or not? Please may i request to advise me how a second booklet can be realised is belong to whom if unattached from first booklet!? I was not supposed to write down my name or student number any where on second booklet! It is so unfair if my second booklet has been lost! How can i prove i had a second booklet?!?????

I have never heard of any result being changed by an administrative review.
I think it unlikely that your second booklet has been lost as the ACCA will have good procedures in place to ensure that this doesn’t happen. For example, if the invigilator’s mark was on the first page of the original booklet this will alert the system that a second booklet is expected.
Most candidates do not have to ask for a second booklet, so you must have been writing a lot. This point is straying beyond the advice you wanted, but you need to ask yourself if your answers were really well-focused on the requirements of the questions. In the past you were obviously well-prepared because you passed all your exams. However, in this exam there is a risk that well-prepared candidates tend to write ‘everything they know’ about a subject even if it is not all very relevant to the question requirements eg giving very specific advice.
I hope that hasn’t insulted you. It’s meant to be helpful and it might be worth your while looking over the exam paper again and the model answers, if these are supplied by ACCA, and trying to compare those with your memories of what you wrote.
January 13, 2020 at 8:42 pm #558507Thank you so much for your prompt reply. The reason i had to request for second booklet was that i decided to make a gap between each line in my writing to make sure there would be enough room to add any missing point later on, though it didn’t happen. Once again do appreciate your advice.
