What is intrapolation and extrapolation?
if the value of x is extrapolation then is it acceptable?
Thank you.If you have 2 values and you approximate for a value between those two values then that is interpolation.
If you have 2 values and you approximate for a value outside those two values, then that is extrapolation.
Interpolation always gives a better approximation. However usually extrapolation is OK for the exam (although it depends on the question and the topic).
