When calculating the EVA do we use the current years capital employed or the previous years, because looking at the bpp answer they used previous years and when i looked at the examiner's answer they used the current years (for example if we are looking at 2007 the NOPAT is 07 and capital employed is 07 in the examiners answer but BPP used the capital employed in 06). I've seen inconsistencies in couple other answers for EVA so just want to know the right steps. Thank you.

Do not worry about EVA! It is being removed from the Paper P4 syllabus and so there is no way that the examiner will ask for EVA in June :-)

Thank you!! one less thing to worry about, dont understand why they put questions in the revision kit just to add to the workload

It is because the Revision Kits were published before the examiner announced that he is going to remove it. Strictly it is still in the syllabus for June, but because it being removed from September onwards, there is no way the examiner will ask it in June.
