What papers do I have to select from professionals ( ACCA ) and how many papers will be exempted from ACA .... also if there is any , can you tell me the aggregate % required for exemptions
Bbillionnaire13y ago#3
No aggregate % is required for exemption. If u are ACCA affilate u r eligible for 12 papers exemption out of 15 papers of ICAEW. U r only required to sit 2 further papers and a case study. Hope this helps!!

Do We have to pass any specific papers like advanced audit from the professional section of ACCA to get exemptions ??

Hi, I will be applying for my ACCA Membership in a month's time and is planning to join ICAEW once I am ACCA Member. I am just curious, i) how many papers will I h ave to undertake to be a fully qualified ACA? & ii) Is my ACCA experience sufficient for the last ICAEW Exam?
Former userFormer user13y ago#8
You will get 12 papers exemptions for which you dont have to pay. Secondly you have to clear 2 advance stage papers . 1) Business Strategy and Business reporting. And for experience you have to get articles from only ICAEW approved employers. They dont want you to work in any Firm as an assistant auditor..

I am about to complete my ACCA papers and wish to persue ICAEW. Can anyone tell me the way to claim exemptions in Icaew. I have P6 and P7 in my optional subjects. Is exemption claimed from website or is there some physical office?

You only get 12 exemptions if you do P6 and P7. If you don't do either, then you only get 10 exemptions. P6 (UK) is necessary to get tax paper exemption and P7 is necessary to get Audit exemption.

i dont like audit but i want to do icaew,i like taxation so i'll select p6 n want p4 with it,so if i i dont go for p7 then i will get exemption for 11 papers of icaew? how many more papers do i need to attempt of icaew then n would it be better to instead give p7 of acca n get all 12 exemptions as audit paper of icaew might be more tough? n does any one know how much is the internship pay for ICAEW trainees in PAKISTAN?
AFalkemist FCA (Jamaica), FCCA, CPA, CGA, MSc, BSc13y ago#13
you would need to do 4 papers for ICAEW, including the audit paper.....if you dont do P&. Hence either way, you will have to do an audit paper.

Personally I would not recruit the person who is the qualification collector - everybody can study and pass exams. Show me your real life achievements. What have you achieved at work, what experience you have. It looks for me as people from Pakistan think the more qualification the better what is completely wrong thinking. In the UK we do one qualification and any manager won't hire a person smarter than himself (overqualified). Many qualifications prove only the person does not have the idea for himself - no plan. It shows umature attitude to career and umature personality. Of course it does not relate to peaople who changed career and decided to fullfil gaps. But a student with a minimal experience with 3 titles before his name is ridiculus. At the end of the day in the UK they will always think Brits are better than imigrants no matter how many qualifications you have...

12 exemptions for acca affiliates. Which acca variants UK will be required in papers to claim it ? Like f6 has an option of uk or pakistani. F8 audit uk or international. P6, P7 ? Experience will be important ofcourse. I have no plans to apply in Uk despite being a US national. Wanted ICAP Pakistani chartered accountant exemptions which i will get on the basis of icaew. To clear icap papers here is quite difficult. Dnt be critical before analysing the situation fully.

At present do we have to pay any fees to claim exemptions??
PPeter12y ago#22
Why would you want to become ICAEW if you are already ACCA. It makes no sense! I am a tax lecturer at BPP in London and train students for the ACCA and ICAEW exams. The ACCA exams are much much harder than the ICAEW exams. Both are chartered qualifications, both have the same remuneration levels, both are able to carry out the same work. The main differences are that the ACCA is more internationally recognised and the ACCA syllabus is more demanding.
