The syllabus is not too full of technical material and the exam requires you to apply theories or models to a case study rather than to explain them. You have to know the technical content, but the key is to practise lots of questions. When answering questions I recommend you approach them first from a common sense point of view. If you manager had asked you to do something in real-life what would you do or suggest: you wouldn't confuse you manager by immediately referring to a theory. Having worked out what you think is a sensible approach then see which models you could use to back-up your ideas, extend your ideas - or even make you reconsider your ideas. Adding models and frameworks to an answer gives it more academic respectability and will gain you marks, but models and frameworks are never guaranteed to give you the right answer. What they do is to allow you to organise the information, help you to make sense of it, analyse it and have some possible solutions indicated.

From where should i practice past papers after completing a topic should i refer to p1 and p3 syllabus

Not all old P1 ans P3 questions are appropriate so you should use the SBL exams published by ACCA on their site (specimen and past papers). There is an additional case studiy on our site https://opentuition.com/acca/sbl/acca-sbl-case-study/ However, ideally you should buy a revision kit from BPP or Kaplan to provide more questions and guidance. (20% discount if BPP books are bought through this site).
