Professor, way time back I asked you this same question but I am confused a little.
Handy’s culture to organisation structure.
Task culture is matrix organisation.
Power culture is entrepreneurial organisation.
Role culture is functional organisation.
Person culture is kind of divisional organisation.
Have I said these correct?
Structure and culture do not correlate perfectly.
Task culture implies flexibility so that people get the job done. This might be seen in a matrix structure but could also exist in a functional organisation where, for example, people in production are multi-skilled and step in as needed.
Similarly, although a power culture is almost inevitable in an entrepreneurial organisation (small, one boss) it can also exist in a functional structure where there is little delegation of decision-making power.
Alright professor. Understood!
