Hello i have passed f1-f5 i am now thinking of giving 4 exams (f6 f7 f8 f9) in december sitting. I need advice on how to manage please and thank you!
September 2, 2019 at 7:40 am #544126Download ACCA’s “Study Support Guide” which is clearly referenced in ACCA’s resources (e.g. this link for AA https://www.accaglobal.com/gb/en/student/exam-support-resources/fundamentals-exams-study-resources/f8.html) for each of the papers you are considering. Skim reading these will give you a “flavour” of each of the exams. Use the proforma planner and topics lists provided (or you could take the contents pages of OT notes as a topics list instead) to plan how you will study even two exams in less than 3 months. I would not recommend more than 2 in one session to any student who does not have a clear pass history having previously sat 2 a session. I have sadly known too many students spread themselves too thinly attempting 3 exams in one session and marginally failing all 3.

And even if it was possible for you to sit all 4, I personally wouldn’t recommend anyone to attempt 4 papers in one sitting. You have passed F1-F5, OK, but out of those only F5 is comparable in difficulty to F6-F9. Many students attempt such things but very rarely actually pass all the papers they attempt. It is better to give a quality attempt to fewer papers than a scattergun approach like this.
What were your marks for F1-F5? If you achieved very high marks with a short period of study for each exam, and you are a full time student, you might just have a chance of passing all 4. However, it will take a combination of high talent and very hard work. You will not have a life outside studying. Are you prepared for that?
