So I reschedule my Sunday to participate in the F8 session as it’s been changed from 5PM UK time to 12 noon. I enter the chat room with several other OT members at the scheduled time and the person who’s set up the sessions and is scheduled to facilitate the session never shows up. I wait 15 mins then message her requesting an explanation. She won’t tell me why she cancelled/moved the session without telling the group and is acting as if I’m out of order for asking. !?!?

Is this normal for OT? I’ve found it helpful in the past but this type of behavior is really off putting and very unprofessional. I understand the individual is volunteering but that shouldn’t exempt her from behaving with common courtesy.

Hi….so is my understanding correct, F8 sessions are going to be held ever Tuesday’s at 7.30pm (GMT) and Saturday’s at 12:15 (GMT) and NOT Sunday’s at 5:00pm (GMT).

    Can pls someone confirms this?

    Thanks

Bridmw is argumentative and demanding not to mention insulting. I will give that person no explanation whatsoever untill they learn how they should approach people in the appropriate way. Perhaps bridmw should moderate the group in conjunction with husnafzal. I really don’t want to deal with bridmw and want them to stop harrassing me!

lalawhite, you must have heard you don’t change your attitude cause of others similarly you don’t stop doing your things cause of others attitudes. I don’t know what happened between the two of you but whatever it was, let it pass. Being a moderator of a group and leading a session would be of great help to you for passing the paper, so don’t lose this opputunity just cause somebody said something you didn’t like.

Thanks husnfzal but I think I’ll pass on the study group. I’ll be more effective on my own and won’t have to worry about people throwing their toys out of the pram just because a group member asks a question. I expect to participate in the forum especially as I get into the practice and past exam questions. Good luck everyone.
