the statement of a company report at 31.3.20×7 the following retained earning:

Retained earnings:

at 1 April 20×6 £2300
year to 31 March 20×7 £1,760

In the solution: the retained earnings at 31 March 20×7 are 4,060. Why? They should not be £1,760?
